핌(FIM)은 2026년 1월 15일부터 2월 14일까지 《Story of Islands and Orbits》를 개최합니다. 이번 전시는 한국 작가 김민조와 김연재 작가의 회화 및 도자 작업 10여점을 선보입니다. 본 전시는 허구적 상상력과 비현실적 장치를 통해 현실을 재사유하는 두 작가의 작업을 조명하며, 개인의 내면에서 출발한 허구가 사회·정치적 구조로 확장되는 다양한 양상을 탐구하고, 허구가 작동하는 방식과 그 의미를 다층적으로 드러냅니다. 두 작가의 서로 다른 조형 언어는 동시대 시각문화 속에서 현실과 허구가 교차하는 지점을 입체적으로 드러냅니다. 이를 통해 본 전시는 허구가 단순한 상상이 아닌, 현실을 이해하고 재구성하는 동시대적 사유의 도구임을 제시합니다.
FIM is pleased to present 'Story of Islands and Orbits' from January 15 to February 14, 2026. This exhibition features over ten paintings and ceramic works by Korean artists Minzo Kim and Yeonjae Gim. The exhibition illuminates the work of two artists who rethink reality through fictional imagination and unrealistic devices. It explores the diverse ways in which fiction originating from the individual's inner world expands into social and political structures, revealing the multi-layered ways fiction operates and its meaning. The distinct visual languages of the two artists reveal, in a multidimensional way, the points where reality and fiction intersect within contemporary visual culture. Through this, the exhibition proposes that fiction is not merely imagination, but a tool of contemporary thought for understanding and reconstructing reality.
